More than just a Light Fixture

Every healthy aquarium ecosystem starts with proper lighting, promoting healthy plant growth, which then directly contributes to improved water quality and livestock well being.

however, many aquarium lights are not designed for optimal light spread and penetration, resulting in a loss of valuable light. in addition to this, many just look like plain, black “boxes” that sit on top of a meticulously curated tank.

No More Lost Light

Edges of tank in shadow, the light source is too close to water line to reach edges

Raising light 6 in and centering it 4 in away from each edge allows for more coverage, also creates a 45 degree angle between each corresponding parallel edge

In the new position with a flat hood, unfocused light extends past the edges of the tank, resulting in a bright glare and loss of valuable light
